EXTREME (workout) Makeover - 40 miles in February

EXTREME (workout) Makeover - 40 miles in February

Now, I know some of my friends could do this in a day as if it was as easy as putting on a pair of underwear...me however??? It's going to take a bit!

I joined this challenge through a weigh watchers group today. So starting on Monday I'll pledge to do 40 miles in February! (Is this year a leap year?) hehe

If there is anyone else that wants to take this challenge up with me here is the rules:

Make your body, YOUR VALENTINE this year... This challenge is miles… lots of us run/walk and thought… what better way to get out there and do more then to set a MILEAGE goal/challenge. So… <<<<>>>> (you can count swimming too – but sorry biking doesn’t count for this challenge)

SIMPLE huh? well then let's get started! Who's with me?!?!?

  3. Awesome Brenda!!!
    Very happy for you!!
I am here if you need me!!
I have jumped on the "me me" band wagon,Nov 16.I have been quite diligent in my daily trips to PF in Westbrook. (let me know if you want to go with)I have just been doing treadmill 2 mls and bike 2-3 mls and have lost 13 lbs -avg 2lbs wk.
Also I signed up for Bigest Loser online, really informative... you enter in your food and it gives you all your #'s also you enter your workout info and it calculates calories burned - I really like it.
Anywho - put one foot infront of the other and soon you'll be walking... (really fast at the race tracks) :) My goal is to be able to handle walking "Loudon" and climbing those muderous Stairs... woo hoo
Keep me posted... Call if you need me!!!

  5. hehe thanks Donna...I figured it was you...you have your own way of talking :) What PF membership did you get? Did you get the Black card? I may take you up on that a few days a week if you did.

Dan...join it with me ... we can keep each other on progress and even maybe meet up once or twice a week and walk together. It's cold but it makes us walk faster!!!

    Amanda...thanks...which Amanda was that? I know a few :)

  6. Hey Brenda!
Congratulations, you sound very motivated and on the right track towards your goals. I know it will be hard sometimes, but that's why you have us as friends to help you though. Always remember, one day at a time! And if you get off track, tomorrow's a new day. I find that one good decision leads to another (and usually one bad decision leads to another, too!!) so just make mindful choices thoughout the day, stay busy, and enjoy life :)
You are a wonderful person and I'm very happy that you're doing something for yourself. Just think of this journey as a lifestyle chsnge, not a diet. Also focus on the things you CAN have, not the things you can't (I just got over a detox diet and it was a tough week, so I know how hard the first few days are).
I'm looking forward to reading your blogs!
ps: Sorry about points in Longisland iced teas...I guess you should just find a new drink to call your own :) Do you like voldka/club soda with a squeeze of lemon? Bacardi and diet? These are both yummy and no calories or sugar!
